Google.org is providing $2.5 million in funding to three organizations that are working on pop-up vaccination sites. So, all these things have become easier with Google Maps and Search Now as the user will know where they can get the vaccine and can also take an appointment before leaving. The feature of looking for Covid-19 vaccine is rolled out on Google Maps, and Search app. Open the app and search for covid-19 vaccine location, you will see the results of nearby vaccination centers. On Google Maps, you will see the results fine, just like you search for any restaurant or nearby places. On Google Search, the interface is different, and it shows a lot of information related to vaccines. You can see the vaccine center, once you click on the “Where to get it” option on the left side. Moreover, you can also see information on who should get vaccinated first. In India, people aged above 45 are eligible to get vaccinated. At present, the government is offering two vaccines, Covishield by Oxford-AstraZeneca and Covaxin by Bharat Biotech. For emergency usage, soon Russia’s Sputnik V will be rolled out.
